2012-2013 Holly Pond School registration is done through lottery. There are 2 steps to the registration process.

Draw your lottery ticket, which will occur at the Darien YMCA, Wednesday, January 18th and Thursday, January 19th. Your lottery ticket will give you the time to come and register for the 2012-2013 School Year.
Registration for the 2012-2013 school year begins on Tuesday, January 24th for returning Holly Pond School students, siblings of returning Holly Pond School students and alumni of Holly Pond School. New Students who are Darien residents will register on Wednesday, January 25th. New Students who are non-Darien residents will register on Thursday, January 26th. Registration begins at 10:00 AM.

Lunch Brunch

Nursery school students may stay late or arrive early for a lunch group from 11:45 am to 1 pm, Mondays through Fridays. Children must provide their own lunch and drink, which the Y will keep refrigerated. Supervised lunch is followed by gym, or outdoor play. Lunch Bunch tickets at $10 per day and may be purchased at the main desk, individually or in books. Pre-registration is necessary. Coupons are non-refundable.

School Year

The 2012-2013 Darien YMCA Nursery School will begin in September and end in June. The school follows the Darien Public School schedule for holidays, school vacation periods and inclement weather closing. It is our desire that no one be denied child care services at the Darien YMCA for financial reasons. The YMCA has a limited amount of funds available for those who are unable to pay the full fee. Payment Calendar

2yr, 3yr & 4yr old programs:
$500 is due on registration day, 1/3 of payment minus $500 deposit is due by February 15th, 1/3 of payment is due on September 15th and final 1/3 is due on November 15th.

Pre-K Program: $500 is due on registration day, 1/4 of payment minus $500 is due by February 15th, 1/4 of payment is due on May 15th, 1/4 of payment is due on September 15th and final 1/4 is due on November 15th.

**If February 15th payment is not received on time, your spot will be forfeited and your registration fee and deposit are non-refundable.

Refund Policy:
Refunds are only given if Nursery School spots can be filled. Withdraws made prior to April 1st will receive a refund of 2/3 of the tuition payment received. Withdraws made after April 1st will receive a refund of 1/3 of the tuition payment received.

Parent Participation: The Nursery School strives to develop a partnership between home and school. We encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s pre-school experience through our Holly Pond Parents Association which hosts special events throughout the year.
